About the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)

Caven refers you, our client, to local solicitors who we work with on a regular basis, and who we know will provide you with a good value, high quality service. As a referral company Caven complies with Chapter 9 of the SRA Code of Conduct 2011 regarding referrals.

The Solicitors' Code of Conduct is written by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). The SRA is the independent regulatory body of the Law Society of England and Wales. The SRA regulates all solicitors in England and Wales, as well as registered European lawyers and registered foreign lawyers.

The aim of the Solicitors Regulation Authority is to protect the public by regulating the legal profession, including referral services like us. This ensures that solicitors in England and Wales meet high standards, that the rule of law is upheld and that clients receive a good service.

Caven is careful to ensure that we meet the standards set for us by the SRA. What this means for you is that any solicitor to whom we refer you is an independent professional, from whom you will receive impartial and confidential advice. We work with more than 5,000 solicitors in the UK, and will put you in touch with the most relevant firm based on the criteria that are important to you. This may be locality, price or specialism. Once we have put you in contact with a solicitor it is up to you to decide whether to use them; you are free to choose another solicitor, and we have no influence over your choice. This means that your solicitor will always be acting in your interests only.

Confidentiality is also important to us. We will not disclose your information to any other party without your prior consent.
