Citizenship and naturalisation FAQs

The purpose of immigration, from the personal perspective, is to gain entry residence in a new country. This starts off being temporary residence, but the ultimate goal is permanent residence.

This usually occurs through the legal process of naturalisation, resulting in citizenship.

There are several different requirements before citizenship can be offered, and they change slightly depending on circumstances. To have a better idea of what is involved have a look at the articles here, and if you need a solicitor to help with anything please call us on 0800 177 7162.
